Makeup Brushes

I did my research you could say when it comes to buying my brushes. I don't know about you, but money is sparse these days when it comes to my fiance and I. He's a full time graduate student and I'm trying to find a job. We also have a dog and have a wedding around the corner, so money has been tight.

I found the perfect brushes for great prices thanks to so many peoples reviews through their trial and error. I absolutely LOVE, love, Love my Sonia Kashuk makeup brushes. You can get these at Target. Sonia Kashuk has two lines, the white ones and the black ones. I purchased the black, it seems like the quality is about the same but the handles are just a bit more sophiscated and studio looking for about $5-$10 more. So, I went with the pretty white ones. ^_^
Wonderful quality and for great price. Cannot beat it, absolutely. I love the feeling of each of these brushes. I probably use my sable eyeshadow brush the most, hence love it the most! :D The small blending brush I use for making eyeshadow into an eyeliner underneath my lower lashes and sometimes top lashes. But because the way they made it or maybe my lids/eyes are small I haven't really used the crease brush too much because I feel that its too large. I feel that this is a brush I'll soon come to love soon enough. But I'm kinda afraid that I'll apply too much eyeshadow or just mess up, haha. Anyway, 5 big stars to these brushes. Now I know why everyone loves them!

Now, if you want a huge bang for head over to your local CVS. (I drove from Norfolk to Chesapeake and found out that the CVS there was not opened and was even in the process of getting its ABC license. Then drove all the way to Virginia Beach and back to Norfolk, just to get these bad boys!) If your lucky, CVS might even have a sale were you can get them for even cheaper. These brushes let me tell you...silky, soft, and if you blind folded me and told me to guess the price I would think around $15-$30 dollars a brush. I got the Essence of Beauty Deluxe Duo brushes and it even came with a nice little fluffy brush as a bonus! (I use these brush for blending my outer V and for overall blending of eyeshadows) And believe it or not I got it for $15! Amazing. I love them too, I just haven't used them too much because I don't use foundation, concealer, and blush very often. (Because I don't really have any! haha) So once again for quality, softness, great price, and user friendly I rate 4.5 Stars. My only compliant is that I have to store them on the side. But psh. That really isn't a big deal. :P

Ruby Red Slippers! Review

As I usually do, I love looking at other blogs and I learned new, well new to me brands. I stumbled across China Glaze and fell absolutely in love with China Glaze's Wizard of Ahhs nail colours, especially Red Pumps.

A day or so later my fiance and I went into Walgreens. I went to the makeup aisle and found a perfect duplication! Milani makes a beautiful color at around $4.99? called Ruby Jewels. With two coats of this nail polish you feel like the lollipop gang is singing to you and your about to head out and an amazing adventure full of characters that fill your heart.
Which reminds me, I couldn't help but want to grab these shoes when I was at the Prime Outlet's in the converse store! :D

Coastal Scents Review

It's been a week or so since my Coastal Scents products have arrived at my door. To everyone who has raved and reviewed the 88 Warm Palette. I have to agree! The pigments are great, and for the price I'm astonished to see at the end of the day my eyeshadow hasn't moved a bit! I don't even use a eyeshadow primer on my lids! Really, it's a great palette I bought it because I'm trying to make a very professional look for all my job interviews and to practice with makeup before my wedding. And really, if you were just starting on your makeup collection (like me!) I really think this is a must have. It has a great selection of colours from matte, to shimmer, to ones that even have quite a bit of glitterness to them! I love it. I give the 88 warm palette ***** (5 Stars). For it's price, its the best thing! ($25)

Now, I'm really really NOT impressed with the camo quads which I bought 3. I bought the color corrector, light skin, and medium. When the light and medium camo quads dry, they look very cakey on my skin. And I do not have very dry skin either. Even after mixing it with lotion, I really would NOT recommend these for concealers at all. But I think there is still hope for the color corrector camo quad. Like I said the product drys cakey, so if you can afford a more expensive color corrector. Buy it, because its something you will use all the time. For now this is okay if I use a tiny dab on my acne. Otherwise, I really wouldn't use it. I definately would not recommend these, and certainly will not repurchase. After such great reviews on youtube and on the Coastal Scents I bought these products, I am very very disappointed.

Dance in the Vampire Bund

I just started watching Dance in Vampire Bund yesterday and so far I'd like to say its very good. It immediately jumps into the story, it continues to have alot of action, drama and so forth for its first 5 episodes that I've seen. There isn't much comedy, but there is supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc), drama, romance, action, and the plot makes adjustments here and there. I like that it is showing how a Vampire Queen finally decides to try to make a vampire society a part of the human society. It will be very interesting to find out where it goes next.

Elfen Lied

I just finished watching the anime called Elfen Lied. It's actually a beautifully done anime to describe it correctly. There's comedy, drama, romance, fighting, supernatural, and just everything combined just right. It isn't a drawn out anime either, but the end to it was just perfect. I know this is an older anime, but it caught my attention and decided to watch it. I fell in love. Once again, great anime to watch. Only 13 episodes. The music in the beginning and how everything falls into place was wonderful. I really recommend this anime to all viewers.

Right now I'm watching Mai Hime. It's been about a month since I've watched anime. I've been so wrapped up in wedding stuff and also my makeup research that it just kinda slid past my mind. But now that Brent has a new video game and plays it for hours, I thought it would be a good idea to watch some anime! I also watched Bleach episode 255, I'm so glad they are done with that arch. It was so drawn out and I felt like the drawing done with it wasn't like their usual quality. Bah. I hope good things are coming our way when it comes to the new season/arch.
